“At many times throughout their lives, children will feel the world has turned topsy-turvy. It’s not the ever-present smile that will help them feel secure. It’s knowing that love can hold many feelings, including sadness, and that they can count on the people they love to be with them until the world turns right side up again.”
– Fred Rogers
Amy is a pre-licensed LMHC and Child Centered Play Therapist. She received her MA in Counseling from Northwestern University in March 2024. A career changer, Amy returned to school after seeing and experiencing the stress on children, teachers, and families in the post-pandemic world. She works with adults and children of all ages, using CCPT to foster resilience, self-esteem, and the skills to process life events. Amy believes the role of a therapist is to provide a safe place to process and manage everything from expected life stress to trauma. As a CCPT, she has a Humanistic approach - which means she believes in people’s innate movement towards growth.
