Emily Cox

Master's Student, Mental Health Counseling

Clinical Intern

Emily is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern currently completing a Master’s degree in Counseling from Saint Martin’s University (expected graduation in July 2025). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies from the University of Washington. She is a 500-hour yoga teacher, certified through the Yoga Alliance. She is also trained in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Emily has a background in social justice work and utilizes an anti-oppression lens which is aimed at being attuned to the effects social systems have on clients. Her style is collaborative, client-focused, and trauma-informed. She strives to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space. Emily enjoys working with all ages—kids, adolescents, and adults. Emily believes it is an honor to hear clients’ stories and witness their journeys. She hopes to facilitate the highest quality of care by helping you feel empowered and more connected to yourself, loved ones, and communities.

In her free time, she connects with loved ones, moves her body, spends time in nature, enjoys a good book, cooks a nice meal, and snuggles with her cats.


Presenting issues: Trauma, CPTSD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, gender-affirming care, life transitions, relationship issues, and highly sensitive people.
