Professional Associate

William joined the Olympia Therapy team in March 2023 as a Child and Family Therapist. Previously, he worked as an elementary school teacher for nearly ten years. He received his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University in April 2021.

Since he began his career with children and families as an elementary school teacher, William has been interested in developing strong individual relationships with the children with whom he works. He believes in a child-centered orientation to therapy that is built around being sensitive and responsive to the unique needs of each child. William prefers an integrative approach to therapy that draws on a wide variety of theoretical approaches. These approaches are selected based on their level of fit with each particular client. William is passionate about building a deep awareness of the needs of each child and family to determine the best method of care.

William specializes in working to develop self-esteem and confidence in children. He utilizes a strength-based approach to work with neurodivergent clients. He is passionate about providing a space for children and families to develop a deep awareness of themselves and their resiliencies and strengths in order to heal.
